Dear Colleagues!

Novosibirsk State University [Russian National Research University] in collaboration with Institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Siberian Academy of Public Administration holds annual International Student Scientific Conference Students and Progress of Science and Technology.

The conference is created as a platform for presenting scientific achievements of students and young researchers, free exchange of views on contemporary science and technology achievements among young and experienced researchers, building a web of direct scientific contacts among active science youth from Russia and all over the world.

Scientific programmeof the Conference is to be held in 28 sections and more than 100 subsections, dedicated to the principal trends of contemporary fundamental and applied science. Full list of sections:

Students, PhD students and young researchers are welcome to take part in the conference.

Scientific work for the conference shall be presented in English or Russian language. Number of works for the conference by one participant isn’t limited. Number of co-authors is also unlimited.

Applications for participation in the conference must be submitted via Informational System ‘Conferences’, available at http://issc.nsu.ru. If Russian visa is required then participants have to accomplish and submit their applications before the 10th of February, 2012. If no visa is needed, then the deadline date is the 20th of February, 2012.

All information from the Organizing Committee for participants is distributed via the webpage of conference or e-mail.

Organizing Committee considers that information, published on the official website http://issc.nsu.ru and/or sent by e-mail is delivered to the participants.

Abstractsprovided by participants have to meet the standards and rules published on the webpage.Abstracts approved by the Scientific Committee will be published in the conference proceedings. Organizing Committee has a right to publish conference proceedings online.

There is no participation fee. Organizing Committee does not cover any expenses of participants.

Participants may take part in active social calendar of events designed to enable those from around the world to learn about science and Novosibirsk, explore cultural life.

2. ARRIVAL IN HELSINKI AND BUS TRANSPORTATION TO VIERUMÄKI

Early arrivals Wednesday 30.3

Participants that arrive on Wednesday 30.3 and have reserved a room with our special rate at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, will be picked up from the hotel at 15:00. Ms. Alison Quinn (ISH) will meet you in the hotel lobby at 14:45 to take you to the bus. This bus will then drive to the Helsinki-Vantaa International airport to pick-up more people and then continue to the Finnish Sports Institute in Vierumaki

The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel is located directly in the city centre next to the Helsinki Central Railway station and within walking distance from all major sights, restaurants, bars and popular shopping areas. Upon arrival, you either take a taxi from the airport (approximately 40?), Finnair City bus (6?) or public bus number 615 (4?), they both stop at the Helsinki Central Railway station.

Arrivals on Thursday 31.3

Bus 1

If you arrive on Thursday 31.3, there will be two busses going to the Finnish Sports Institute in Vierumaki from the Helsinki-Vantaa International airport. Participants that arrive before 15:00 will be on the first bus that leaves from the airport at 16:00. Alison will be waiting at Café Picnic that is located in the Terminal 2, Arrivals Hall to guide participants to the bus. The first bus will arrive in Vierumaki around 17:30.

Bus 2

Participants who arrive after 15:00 will be placed on the second bus that will leave from the Helsinki-Vantaa International airport at 18:00. Mr. Jonne Karanko (ISH) will be waiting at Café Picnic that is located in the Terminal 2, Arrivals Hall to guide participants to the bus. The second bus will arrive in Vierumaki around 19:30, just in time for the Opening Ceremonies and the Key Note Speech that will start at 20:00.

During the 1 ½ hour bus ride, you will have a chance meet old and new friends, and start sharing experiences with each other. We would also like you to take a few minutes time to fill in the Accommodation Forms so that we can speed up the check-in process. The bus transportation is included in the Conference Fee.
