1. What is scientific text ? Scientific text is a text that contains new information in the field of science and technology. Its main purpose is to inform readership.

Attributive chains

Attributive chains are complex phrases consisting of two or more words where is absent the preposition “of”: catalysis reaction, benzene solution.

Stage II: translation using subordinate clause with the word: который:

Occasional words

Occasional words are usual words with a fixed meaning, but sometimes these words can acquire additional meanings. These meanings are valid within a certain context. Sometimes authors can give a word with a dictionary meaning another meaning that is absent in dictionary.
