Этим самым ты демонстрируешь свое крайнее неуважение ко мне. 10. Пирог пахнет замечательно. Я буду достаточно объективным, если отмечу, что за последнее время ты стала готовить значительно лучше. 11. Это задание трудно, но в разумных пределах, кроме того, оно дает мне пищу для размышлений. 12. Нечего расстраиваться только потому, что ты оказался не на высоте при первом знакомстве с коллективом. Просто в следующий раз держись немного самоувереннее. 13. Я всегда стараюсь узнать, что интересует моих подчиненных. 14. Все прекрасно понимали, что эта подозрительная компания собирается что-то сделать, но никто не решался их остановить. 15. Даже если мистер Браун и критикует кого-то, все его замечания по существу и достаточно объективны, поэтому никто не испытывает к нему за это ненависти. 16. Если бы я должен был решать, указать ему на ошибку или нет, я бы предпочел промолчать. 17. На самом деле, я очень переживаю, как выгляжу в их глазах, но просто не подаю вида. 18. Exercise 6. Translate into English using onomatopoeic words.

Открыв дверь бара, он услышал, как часы на здании муниципалитета пробили семь. «Джон был достаточно учтив, чтобы пригласить меня на эту вечеринку», подумал он. Но когда он пришел, в гостиной разрывался телевизор, его жена, как всегда, болтала по телефону, время от времени покрикивая на детей, которые носились вверх и вниз по скрипучей лестнице, покатываясь от хохота. Он сказал: «Привет!», но никто его не услышал. Только щенок бросился к нему из-под лестницы, повизгивая от радости. Должно быть, в этом доме ему было также одиноко, как и мужчине.
