Find all types of hotel rooms mentioned in the text.

Name room facilities given in the text.

A hotel room means comfort, privacy, security and convenience to its occupants. Hotels offer different types of rooms that range in size, luxury and amenities. The look of a hotel room is affected by the location of the hotel itself and level of service provided. Hotel room types also vary on their number of occupants.

Some hotels may offer three types of rooms while another, in a city such as New York, will offer seven types of rooms. Although there are differences among most rooms, there are also similarities. We will focus on the similar types of rooms found in most hotels.

Standard rooms are classified as such because the rooms offer the basics that most guests come to expect in hotel amenities. Standard rooms have either a full-size bed or a queen-size bed. Standard-room amenities may include a television, Internet, cable, telephone, table and chairs, dresser, mini-refrigerator, bathroom with shower, blow dryer, iron and ironing board.

Deluxe rooms are superior to standard rooms. For most hotels, deluxe means a larger room, more amenities and services, and even a better view. Most hotels also offer more than one type of deluxe room with differences in room and bed sizes and amenities. Deluxe rooms often provide two queen-sized beds or one king-sized bed. Some even have a separate area for the living room. Deluxe-room amenities may include deluxe decor, large colour television, wireless high-speed Internet, cable, telephone, desk and chair, dining area, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, bath and shower, in-room safe and 24-hour room service.

Suites offer hotel guests the highest quality comforts. Suites are sometimes referred to as luxury apartments. Hotel suites may offer several bedrooms and even a master bedroom, a spacious living room area, dining area, full kitchen and bath, fireplace, terrace, a great view and large windows. Suite-room amenities may include a flat screen television, wireless high-speed Internet, cable, stations for iPod and MP3 player, telephone with voice mail, 24-hour room service, in-room safe, walk-around terrace, in-room laundry facilities, in-room gym, wet bar, an office desk and printer, accommodations for your pet and invitations to exclusive hotel events.

Accessible rooms are designed for people with physical disabilities. Accessible-room amenities may include bed risers, braille room numbers, portable shower and bath board and portable shower chairs. If the accessible room is above a standard room, the rooms may also provide kitchen and living room areas designed at accessible heights.

It is important to recognize that even within hotel chains, the accommodations and amenities available at a Hampton Hotel in Chicago will differ from a Hampton Hotel in Louisville, Ky. Hotels adopt accommodations based on location and usage, such as family vacation travel, business travel for individuals and groups, expositions, conferences and retreats.

Text 2

Before proceeding with your hotel room reservations it pays to first of all learn about the type of hotel room amenities that are being provided by the hotel and whether the price you are being asked to pay is right for the kind of amenities being offered. Most travelers, business or leisure travelers will want to stay in hotel rooms that must be comfortable and which are well equipped with the best hotel room amenities.

The design of a hotel room has to meet the needs of a wide variety of travelers. It should provide a place to relax and unwind at the end of a busy day. For some, it also needs to be a place to work and prepare for a business meeting. Certainly they all need the standard accoutrement of a bed, seating area, desk and bathroom. But what will bring travelers back are the features that go the extra mile.

The single most important aspect of a hotel room is cleanliness. Most people appreciate clean white towels and white sheets.

Lots of good accessible lighting helps increase the feeling of cleanliness and assists travelers who want to work. Lights, by each side of the bed that can be turned off and on without getting out of bed, are a plus. Additionally, a night-light option is requested frequently by travelers. Bathrooms always need plenty of good light.

In today's society the needs for electricity have increased. Virtually everyone wants to plug in, and they don't want to crawl on the floor to do it. So place an electrical strip attractively above the desk that can accommodate phone chargers, iPod chargers, Blackberries, and computers. Electrical needs are also required on the night stands on both sides of the bed. In the bathroom the sink should be positioned far enough away from the electrical outlets so that curling irons and hair dryers have adequate room.

Everyone expects free Internet in their hotel room, and Wi-Fi is preferred. Test Wi-Fi from every room. If there is a dead area, either add hard-wired plugs or better yet, redesign the Wi-Fi so that everyone has access. Additionally, the desire is for television with many free channels.

A large desk is required by business travelers. They want room for their laptop as well as an area for papers. Along with this, they want a comfortable work chair. A large comfortable bed where travelers can sit with their computer, if desired, should also be provided. A separate table and chairs for in-room dining is needed as well.

While many travelers are split on the overpriced mini-bar option, virtually everyone wants a small refrigerator in which to store beverages and food. A microwave is also considered a very nice addition, as is a coffeepot. However, the food area should be separate from and not encroach on the desk area or the bathroom vanity.
